From a Senior Night Rivalry Win to the No. 1 Seed, the Huskies Are Home Friday
Playoff football is coming to Mammoth High School! The top-seeded Huskies will host Trona in the CIF eight-player football playoffs on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. They earned the No. 1 seed with a 38–30 Senior Night win over league rival Immanuel Christian, giving the home crowd one more Friday night to cheer on the Dawgs.

A Senior Night worth celebrating
The Huskies and Crusaders had some history heading into this one. A year earlier, Mammoth traveled to Ridgecrest and came up eight points short in a 48–40 loss. This time, with the teams meeting again on Oct. 30 and Mammoth honoring its seniors at home, the Huskies came out on top by that same eight-point margin.
Athletic Director Kelley Lackey congratulated the coaches on a well-coached game and singled out how well the Huskies played through all four quarters. After a season disrupted by forfeits and cancellations, getting to play a full game against a familiar rival made Senior Night all the sweeter. The seniors got to celebrate a win on their home field, and the whole team earned the chance to play there again.
Next up, Trona
Now the Huskies turn their attention to Trona. If you were in the stands on Senior Night, come back and bring a friend. If you haven’t made it to a game yet this season, Friday is a great chance to get out and cheer on the team.
