There is something special about football season at Gault Memorial Stadium, arguably the most picturesque field in California. The lights come on, music echoes, the stands fill with students, families, alumni, and neighbors, and our community comes together to cheer for our Huskies.
When the Mammoth Huskies take the field for their season opener on August 22, they will welcome a new face on the sidelines, and a lot of new faces on the field.
Macall Van Amersfort, a new Social Studies teacher at Mammoth High School, is joining as a new Assistant Coach. A former three-year varsity player and All-League honoree who helped his team reach a CIF Championship, Van Amersfort is excited to connect with students beyond the classroom and help them grow as athletes, teammates, and young adults.
Joining 21 returning upperclassmen are 11 freshman, preparing to carry the program forward. Guided by the theme “One Team. One Family. All In," the Huskies are ready to carry that spirit onto the field—and they hope the Mammoth community will be all in with them. (Scroll down for Roster and Schedule)
We invite our entire community to come out, fill the stands, and support the Huskies this season. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for students and children. For Booster members, though, admission to all home games for every ticketed sport is free.
Booster Membership Makes a Difference
“Mammoth football games are true community events, with all the excitement and nostalgia you'd expect from Friday Night Lights. But joining Boosters extends far beyond the fun of the games. Membership dollars fund essential programs, provide safety equipment such as football helmets, keep students engaged, and make sports and activities possible for every student at Mammoth High School.” —Kelley Lackey, MHS Athletic Director
Family Members and Business Partners with graduating seniors also qualify for academic awards of up to $1,000 based on an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Members also receive complimentary admission volleyball, and basketball games each season, and with five home football games and ten volleyball and basketball game nights, members can enjoy free admission to 15 game dates during the school year.
