Laughter, stories, and gratitude filled Gomez's Restaurant & Tequileria as members of the Mammoth High School Booster Club gathered recently to celebrate another successful year, recognize outgoing leaders, and welcome a new executive board.
The evening was less about meetings and agendas and more about taking a moment to reflect on the friendships, volunteer service, and community spirit that make the Booster Club such an important part of Mammoth High School and the Mammoth Lakes community.
This year's gathering carried special significance as board members honored three outgoing executive board leaders whose dedication has shaped the organization in recent years.

Outgoing President Romi Skolnick was recognized for three years of service leading the Booster Club through a period of growth, expanded community engagement, increased donor focus, and the organization's milestone 50th Anniversary celebration. As one of the primary planners of the anniversary event, Romi created a memorable celebration of the Booster Club's history while honoring the volunteers, donors, and community members who have supported Mammoth students for generations.
Secretary Cathy Dalrymple was honored for her year of service and her conscientious behind-the-scenes documentation that kept the organization running smoothly. Treasurer Christine Gremlich was recognized for three years of careful stewardship and financial leadership, ensuring that funds raised by the community were responsibly directed back to students and school programs.
Together, these volunteers dedicated hundreds of h
ours to supporting Mammoth High School students. From fundraising events and community partnerships to Academic Awards, student programs, teacher support, and special events, their efforts strengthened opportunities for students across academics, athletics, arts, activities, and career-focused programs.
As a small token of appreciation, each outgoing board member received a personalized card signed by fellow board members along with a $200 gift certificate to Peak IV. The gifts were presented with heartfelt thanks for their service and with special appreciation to Peak IV,our valued community partner that has long supported local organizations and causes.
The evening also marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Booster Club. Kristen Voorhees will serve as President for the 2026-27 school year, with Kate Fenske stepping into the role of Vice President. Maureen McGlinchy will transition from Vice President to Treasurer, providing continuity and leadership as the organization moves forward.
Returning board members include: Jena White, Business Partnerships; Antonette Ciccarelli, Memberships; Erick Sugimura, Treasurer; Stacey Posey, Holiday Tree Lot; and Mary Beth Ericson, Web and Marketing. Together, the incoming and returning board members bring a wide range of experience, energy, and enthusiasm to the year ahead.
While leadership roles may change from year to year, the mission remains the same: supporting Mammoth High School students and creating opportunities for them to succeed.
As board members shared memories over dinner, one theme emerged again and again—the Booster Club's greatest strength is the people who choose to get involved. Parents, community members, business partners, and volunteers all play a role in creating opportunities for local students, and each generation of volunteers builds on the work of those who came before.
The Mammoth High School Booster Club extends its sincere gratitude to Romi, Cathy, and Christine for their leadership, friendship, and service. Their contributions leave the organization stronger than they found it, and their impact will continue to be felt by Mammoth High School students and the Mammoth Lakes community for years to come.
