Each month, a dedicated group of volunteers gathers to do something powerful: shape the future of student life at Mammoth High School. The MHS Booster Club’s monthly meetings are more than just routine check-ins—they’re where big ideas take root, key decisions are made, and the groundwork is laid for everything from scholarships to school spirit.
A Hub for Planning and Progress
Booster meetings are the engine that keeps the organization running smoothly. Held monthly throughout the school year, these meetings bring together board members, parent volunteers, teachers, administrators, and community partners to align on goals and map out the months ahead. Every initiative supported by Boosters—from classroom enrichment to extracurricular funding—starts with thoughtful planning in these collaborative sessions.
Major annual events like Husky Fest, our signature golf tournament, and the Holiday Tree Lot are organized through these meetings. Committees are formed, tasks are delegated, and timelines are tracked, ensuring that each event and activity runs smoothly and achieves its fundraising goals. Volunteers brainstorm, develop marketing strategies, and coordinate the dozens of moving parts that make the Booster Club so successful.

Budgeting That Makes a Difference
A critical function of each meeting is budget planning and fund allocation. With limited resources and rising costs, especially for safety gear and student travel, every dollar must be accounted for carefully. Booster members review incoming funds and requests from clubs, sports teams, and faculty to determine how best to distribute support where it’s needed most. This transparency and accountability ensure that community donations directly benefit students and programs that need them most.
Whether it’s a request for new art materials, uniforms for a sports team, or competition travel for academic clubs, every decision is guided by one central question: What will have the greatest impact on student success?

Staying Connected to the School Community
Monthly meetings also serve as a communication bridge between Boosters and MHS. Staff members from the high school and district regularly attend to share important updates, upcoming needs, and school announcements. These insights help the Booster Club stay responsive to emerging priorities—from changing safety regulations to new extracurricular opportunities—and foster a deeper partnership between parents and educators.
This connection ensures that the Booster Club isn’t just supporting the school from the outside—it’s working in step with teachers and administrators to meet real-time needs and build a stronger school community.
A Place for Every Voice
Everyone is welcome at Booster meetings. Whether you're a long-time volunteer or a parent exploring how to get involved, your input is valued. Meetings are open, inclusive, and dri
ven by a shared commitment to supporting the full student experience—both in and beyond the classroom. Attendees often represent a wide range of programs, including athletics, arts, academics, and special interest clubs, which helps ensure diverse needs are heard and supported.
Volunteers are always needed, and meetings are a great way to learn where you can plug in—whether it’s for a single event or a longer-term leadership role.
