Community Fundraiser Supports Local Student-Athletes Through Sponsorships, Golf, and Community Giving
The Mammoth High School Booster Club and the Mammoth Man’s Club are proud to announce the return of Husky Fest 2026, the community’s signature fundraising event supporting Mammoth High School athletics.
Scheduled for September 20, 2026, this joint effort between the Mammoth Man’s Club and the Booster Club is led by longtime local resident and dedicated Mammoth dad Grant Duff, whose leadership and commitment have helped grow Husky Fest into the Booster Club’s most successful annual fundraiser.
Bringing together local businesses, families, alumni, athletes, and community members, Husky Fest raises critical funds to ensure MHS students have access to safe, competitive, and enriching athletic opportunities. Because District and school funding fall short of the funds needed to support our athletes, the funds raised support everything from safety equipment and uniforms to transportation, tournament travel, training opportunities, referee fees, league dues, and countless other needs across Mammoth High School athletics.
“Husky Fest is about the entire community showing up for our students,” says Duff. “The funds raised cover critical needs across MHS athletics—from technology platforms like Hudl, to equipment, transportation, uniforms, and program support for teams throughout the year. The support from local businesses, volunteers, families, and sponsors directly impacts the opportunities available to MHS athletes both on and off the field.”
More than just a golf tournament, Husky Fest has evolved into a high-energy community event featuring sponsorships, raffles, team-hosted games, and student-led fundraising efforts. One of the event’s unique elements is its team-centered fundraising structure, which gives MHS teams and student groups the opportunity to raise funds directly for their programs through sponsorship outreach and on-course engagement. “Athletics have a measurable impact on student success far beyond the field or court,” says Mammoth High School Athletic Director Kelley Lackey. “Students who participate in sports consistently show stronger attendance, improved academic performance, greater school connection, and higher rates of continuing on to college or careers after high school. Support from Husky Fest helps ensure that all MHS students have access to those opportunities and the life skills that come with being part of a team.”
The event also highlights the strong partnerships between Mammoth High School, local businesses, and the broader Mammoth Lakes community. Sponsors receive visibility throughout the event and evergreen social media and online publicity at the Boosters website, while helping make athletics more accessible and sustainable for local students.
