Each year, the Mammoth High School Booster Club is proud to support graduating seniors as they take their next steps in education or career. Through the generosity of our members and community, we provide academic awards ranging from $200–$1,000 to qualifying children of Booster Club members.
In June, 2025, we awarded more than $17,000 to 25 graduating seniors—helping them pursue higher education, training, and career opportunities across the state and beyond.
To qualify, students must maintain a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0. Awards vary based on GPA, and recipients may use their funds in the way that best supports their future—whether that means paying for college tuition, covering technical school costs, supporting an apprenticeship, or easing the transition into full-time work. Our goal is to recognize achievement in high school and provide each student with a boost toward the path that fits them best.
Where They’re Headed
Some of our students are in town, interning and working in our community:
Obsidian Construction
Mammoth Hospital
Mammoth Dental
Other students are attending schools throughout California, including:
UC Davis
CSU San Marcos
UC Santa Cruz
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
CSU Long Beach
Santa Barbara City College
Long Beach City College
Others have ventured out of state, enrolling at Fort Lewis College, University of Miami, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Davison College, among others.
Their chosen fields of study are as inspiring as they are diverse—sustainable agriculture, biology, fire protection, communications, and more. Many plan to bring their skills back to Mammoth Lakes, strengthening our community for years to come. One of our recipients, Ashley, expressed this in her thank you note to Boosters. "Upon completion of my academic goals, which are supported by this award, I hope to return and give back to my community as thanks.”
Here are a few photos from our recent recipients beginning their post-high school chapters. We'd love to add your first day of work, first day of internship/ apprenticeship, or college move-in day photo to our gallery! Please feel free to upload your photos to our google drive, using this link. It may take a day or so for your photo to appear in the gallery

In Their Own Words
We love hearing how these awards make an impact ion our students’ lives. A few shared their experiences with us:
Katie Bernard, CSU Long Beach: “Hi, my name is Katie Bernard. I'm currently studying communications with a minor in finance at CSU Long Beach. With the help of the academic award I received from MHS Booster Club, I was able to take some more frivolous classes-- I even enrolled in a surfing class offered by CSULB. I'm super excited to take this class and hopefully catch some waves this semester. Thank you, MHS Booster Club.”

Isabella Hodges, Cal State San Marcos:“This award means so much to me and will help me focus on my studies and supplies without worrying so much about finances. I'm so grateful and excited to keep working hard toward my goals.” Isabella even sent us a collage of her first week of college fun! In the photos, she shares her new dorm room and a photo of her twin brother, who is also a recipient of the Boosters Academic Award. She's also included photos enjoying a game with a new friend, visting the dining hall, and taking a yoga class.

Investing in the Future
We’re so proud of these students for their hard work and dedication, and we’re grateful to our Booster Club members and donors who make these awards possible. Your support helps ease the financial burden of higher education, training, or career preparation while encouraging our young people to dream big and stay connected to their Mammoth Lakes roots.

These standout kids' journeys are just beginning, and we can’t wait to see all they will accomplish.
