Golden Memories: MHS Celebrates 50 Years in Style

This year, Mammoth High School reached an incredible milestone—50 years of education, community, and pride. To celebrate, the Mammoth High School Booster Club hosted a spectacular 50th Anniversary Celebration weekend, culminating in an unforgettable party at the Mammoth Rock-n-Bowl on Saturday, October 26.

The evening was a lively gathering of alumni, parents, teachers, and community members, all brought together to commemorate this half-century achievement. With activities throughout the weekend, town was buzzing with excitement as guests came from near and far to celebrate MHS.

An All-Access Celebration

All-Access ticket holders enjoyed a premium experience with a delicious dinner served until 7:45 PM and a complimentary drink ticket to kickstart the evening. The celebration also included exclusive raffles, featuring coveted prizes like gift baskets from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and the Mono Lake Committee, which delighted attendees.

Silent Auctions and Big Wins

One of the evening’s highlights was the silent auction, showcasing incredible experiences and items generously donated by community members and local businesses. Standout auction prizes included:

  • Private Flight for Two: A thrilling two-hour twin Aerostar flight to a destination of choice, donated by Flight Test Research, won by Grant Duff.

  • Oceanside Vacation: A three-night stay in a beautiful Oceanside home, donated by Romi Skolnik and Dale Knott, also won by Grant Duff.

  • Photography and Videography Sessions: Donated by Delicious Media and won by Jennie Walker and Hodges.

  • Ski Day Package: Featuring Helly Hansen gear and Mammoth Mountain passes, won by Chris Lizza.

In addition, numerous raffle prizes such as a live holiday tree, skateboards, and tickets to Minaret Cinemas brought excitement to the event. Congratulations to all the winners who generously supported the Booster Club through their bids and purchases.

Gratitude to Sponsors and Volunteers

The success of the event was made possible through the incredible support of sponsors, contributors, and volunteers. Special thanks go to Mammoth Rock-n-Bowl for providing the venue and to The Ross Family, Robert Felkel Construction, Brode Construction, and Karl & Debbie Teller at Mammoth Chevron for their sponsorships. Generous donors of auction and raffle items included High Country Lumber, Silverlake Resort, The Eatery, Adventure Refined, and many more.

Building on Tradition

With nearly $10,000 raised from ticket sales, raffles, and auctions, the 50th Anniversary Celebration was not only a memorable event but also a vital fundraiser for the Mammoth High School Booster Club. Proceeds will directly benefit programs, teams, and initiatives that enrich the student experience and continue the tradition of excellence at Mammoth High School.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this remarkable milestone celebration. Here’s to another 50 years of building community and Husky pride!
