But not everyone can be in town to witness these moments firsthand. Parents, alumni, and fans living near and far often miss the excitement and camaraderie of our Huskies in action. That’s where Hudl comes in—a program that’s transformed the way Mammoth High School connects with its community.

What Hudl Is and How It Came to MHS

Funded by a 2024 grant from the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation (MMCF), the Hudl program provides Mammoth High School with advanced video and analytics tools that have revolutionized athletics for student-athletes, coaches, and fans alike.

MHS’s Hudl package includes fixed cameras in the gym and football stadium, plus portable “flex” cameras used for away games and outdoor sports such as soccer, baseball, and softball. In all, 14 sports now use Hudl technology—including volleyball, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and softball.

Empowering Athletes and Coaches

Hudl gives coaches and players access to game film, detailed statistics, and performance analytics that help them improve their play and strategy. Coaches can also exchange film with other schools, preparing more effectively for competition.

For students, Hudl offers a direct pathway to college recruiting—allowing them to create highlight videos and share their athletic achievements with college coaches. Several recent Huskies have already earned opportunities to play at the collegiate level, including athletes at Long Beach State, Simpson University, Grossmont College, and Allan Hancock College.

Keeping Fans Connected, Wherever They Are

Perhaps the most visible impact of Hudl is its livestreaming capability. MHS families, alumni, and fans can now watch games from anywhere via the Mammoth High School Hudl Fan Page.

Last year alone, more than 1,500 viewers tuned in to MHS livestreams across three athletic seasons. The program also provides a modest fundraising stream by offering pay-per-view options —revenue that helps offset the school’s high travel costs and keeps athletics accessible for students.
